A Lions Clubs charity tai chi event was held at the Asiaworld-Expo in Hong Kong, where around 4,000 participants from six continents practised tai chi together, setting a new world record for the largest gathering with participants from six continents.
Mr Lai King Man, official certifier of SDG World Records and founding chairman of the Family Office Institute Hong Kong (FOIHK), attended the event and presented world record certificates to eight Lions Clubs representatives from around the globe.
Tai chi carries the physical and mental wisdom of Chinese culture. This charity gathering across six continents introduced Chinese culture to the world through tai chi — and demonstrated another possibility for philanthropic events.
